Im currently rebuilding my 289 and ive bought almost all new engine components, including the heads and intake. I was just wondering whether any of you knew what stock 1968 heads (decent shape) are worth, because id like to sell them on e-bay. And for that matter how much the intake is worth also (stock, 2 barrel - decent shape). Thanks....

I'm no expert but the shipping on either would kill the deal. The intakes are a dime a dozen and I can't even count how many I have thrown in the trash over the years. There is nothing special about 1968 heads and with most people going towards aftermarket ones there are probably quite a few sitting in the corners of garages.

I think you would have to find someone restoring a car that your parts are date coded to match. Other than that I think the shipping alone would keep people from buying them instead of finding some local if they really needed them.

I know this is not what you want to hear but I give parts like this away or throw them in the scrap metal bin all the time becuase it just isn't worth my time trying to find buyers to make a few dollars. Hopefully for you someone will totally disagree with me and povide you with better info. I think your best chance of selling them would be locally.

Stock 68 289 heads? $50 at best. The intake could also fetch $50, if the right person sees it. DON'T toss ANY of the hardware from the intake, ALL of it can be sold on the 'Bay individually. I've sold many common stock intake fittings and parts there like that. You'll get more by parting the stuff out for $10-20 apiece than you'll get for the whole thing.
