I just finished this weekend pulling the engine and tranny out and there are alot of wires, and just wanted to know what i could get rid of.

Not really getting rid of a/c and ps but egr stuff, I'm scared to pull some important stuff, does anyone have any idea what i can get rid of?

Just wanted to paint the engine bay and put a nice little 306 in there

Thanks guys

First learn what that "stuff" does and them make choices based on what you plan to do with the car.

Here's a book that will get you started with how the Ford electronic engine control or "computer" works.

Ford Fuel Injection & Electronic Engine Control 1988-1993 by Charles Probst :ISBN 0-8376-0301-3.

It's about $20 from Borders.com see http://www.amazon.com/ . Select boo...asitic drag of the Thermactor or "Smog" pump.

I love the color, definetly two thumbs up...hmmm..ripping wires out isnt usually a good idea if your not deleting anything. Your best bet would be hiding them. Try doiing a search or "hiding wires". Almoststock can help you with this, send him a PM.Once again, nice choice of color, not boring like the typical black, white and red.....
