It appears that MRT (mustang racing technology) website is down.
Last week I emailed them and no response.
I have the MRT hood struts/shocks kit on my car.
The shocks are weak and need replacement.
Any idea what type/brand out there I can get as replacements?

Thanks,
Ryan

You can find struts on Amazon. You'd just need to do a little measuring and have an idea of how much force they need to apply.

I used these when I added struts to my II's hood. I'm just sharing to give an example, but these have been in my car for 3 years with no problems.

Lmr sells em but there probably just generics with a sticker that you can buy for 10 bucks, pretty much just need to know the length and stud ball size. Most are 10mm.

The struts are pretty standard. Measure the OAL and you can buy struts from pretty much anywhere.

Just be aware, going with a stronger strut may push the rear of the hood up and out more than what it does now. Might be why the strut strength is what it is. IMHO they are a bit on the weak side right out of the box. I remember when I installed my MRT kit I had my car outside in the driveway and was under the hood poking around and a gust of wind ended up shutting the hood on my head. Ended up returning the kit to LMR (great service there) and getting a Redline kit.
