i think Im rong but I believe in 91+ c4's got the lt1, before that they had the tpi 350's. c4 zr1's had the lt5, and 96 grandsport vettes had lt4's.

'92-'96 Vettes got the LT1. '90-'95 ZR-1's got the LT5. All '96 M6 Vettes got the LT4...and all 1000 GS Corvettes are 6-speeds. '96 auto = LT1.

There were 100 (maybe 2-3 more but I believe SLP kept them) 30th anniversary SS's (1997) built with the LT4 and 29 Firehawks had the LT4 ('97 too). Needless to say, they're both VERY rare.

Do automatic LT1s usually give 5-speed 5.0s problems? Are they hard to outrun? Just curious.

The lt1 is 350 cu. inches...the ls1 is 346 cu. inches...though they both still fall in the "5.7L" category...

Simple Bolt on's will ut you next to a stock LT1 ('93-97). Forget about racing the LS1's (98-02).

modded lt1's will give you a run for a money, my car with exhaust, and 75 shot ran head to head with a long tube/exhaust/intake/m6 lt1

It took gears, full exhaust, and gt-40 intake to take my friends 95 z28 when it had y-pipe, slp cat back, accel ignition, short throw, k&n. His z28 ran 13.7@103mph on drag radials, my car dyno'd 245rwhp, 292rwtq at the time.
