I'm figuring while my car's in pieces at ford and i need a new clutch, I should probably have them put one in. Any recommendations or does anyone know what performance clutches ford offers?

VALEO actully makes the clutch that ford uses it is also the maker of the ford racing super duty and king cobra clutches. I just installed a king cobra on my 01 GT and it is a whole lot better than it was before. It holds great

Nice, I'm thinking the king cobra, ford would install that right? I'm sure I'm gonna pay a big price for it though.

Yeah, they will install any clutch you give them. You said your car was already torn apart so they actually should only charge you to turn the flywheel if it is already apart so don't let them bend you over on that one...One of the cheapest places I have found the King CObra clutch is UPR. The spec 2 is a slightly stronger clutch but if you don't have gobs of power and use slicks frequently the king cobra will work fine and cost half as much. Like I said before valeo makes the king cobra for ford racing and UPR buys it directly form valeo so you are bypassing the middle man (ford racing) and saving some $$$ which is always fun in our expensive hobby

I'll have my dad ask them if it'd be cool if i ordered a clutch. I'm sure i could have it shipped in within a couple days. Does anyone have the site for upr?
