So what color is my car?? I think the code is D20, it's like a redish orange paint.

your car looks the same color as mine e8 rio red....but if you think it is more orangeish maybe its es vibrant red....but my guess is rio red....

are you looking in the driverside door tag for exterior color...because what you put dosent seem to be a valid paint code..?

From what I remember they were 3 reds in 94.

The darkest was the Laser Red (E9) The color they made the most of
In the middle was Rio Red (E8) In the middle for color production
More orange was Vibrant Red (ES) One of the most rare colors, they had an Iris (GC) that was the most rare.

I had a 95 V6 and used to read way too much about Stangs

im gonna go with vibrant for sure...its so difficult to decipher shades of red because it fades so much...its amazing how much my factory laser red faded!! when i pulled off the protective strips on the rear edges of my doors before i had the car painted, i couldnt believe my eyes when i saw the red underneath....it was like the difference between orange and red...looking at the red under those strips made the rest of the car look like a peach color

Ok found the info I was looking for in my Mustang Catalog book, here is the break down when it comes to red

Laser Red E9 22,345

Rio Red E8 13,793

Vibrant Red ES 2,453

Iris Metallic GC 1,304 ~ Most Rare color

It's a pretty unique color, cool info to pass along at the car hang out. Also Vibrant Red was a GT color only so the other 2,353 cars like yours were also GT's. If your car has cloth interior or color other then black it would be even more rare, but don't have the interior break down info.

When I said that the Vibrant Red was a "GT ONLY" color that was for the 94 year only since Wake's Car is a 94

The Red in 93 was the ES Vibrant red, then on the Cobra's would alternate for the most part

94 E8
95 E9
96 E9
97 E8
98 E9
99 E8
01 ES Called it performance red

Ford would be the best place for info on color combos. Could try the net or even library sure a very indepth Mustang Catalog would have that info.

Welcome to the "owning a Vibrant Red 94 Mustang GT" club.

You park next to an orange car, people say it's red. You park next to a red car, people say it's orange.

Here's some interesting reading to compare Ford's stats too: http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=398929
