I live in Texas and I am wondering if the following will prevent passing inspection.

Turn signals work but the indicator on the dash does not come on for the right turn, only left.

Parking brake is not hooked up.

Move to Florida. We have no state inspections. You can drive around without brakes, without working lights, with worn wipers and bald tires.

Gee, I wonder if that's why Florida has some of the highest auto insurance rates in the country.

It sucks because I have to pass state inspection in order to get the car registered and get the title in my name.

So right now, I am still driving a car that to some extent belongs to a guy in Oklahoma and has OK plates.

Actually, the reason that some states have dropped inspection is that studies show NO IMPROVEMENT in accident rate when having inspection. 99+% of wrecks are driver related, so why expend the effort to inspect cars that rarely fail inspection for any real mechanical reason anyway?
