Haha I think there was a thread on this or came up in a thread a while ago. I agreed with everyone the last time this came up that why does it matter what it sounds like?

I'm wondering this too, Im sorry but I like a cool sounding starter. When I get a new one, Im finding one that sounds cool. My friend has a reman from autozone and it sounds like a POS, or like an old Chevy starter. I've always liked the way LT1/LS1 starters sound. lol

I've got one. It sounds pretty cool, I guess. Definitely different than stock. More like starting a Ferraru. LOL. I'm not kidding. It's a high pitch crank. Sounds 'tight'. This was all by luck though. I hadn't heard one before.

I have a PA Perf starter and it just turns over faster..... doesn't really have a sound to it?

LOL..... Just to let you know if one of my friends asked me how there *Starter* sounds as opposed to there exhaust or cam or engine for that matter I would probably smack them in the back of the head

Youve probably never had a 93 starter then, they sound really stupid, high pitched, loud and annoying.

Maybe its just me, but Id kill to have something like this...

To me it is still just a starter......

Now if there was a starter that when started sounded like a **** Chick in a raunch movie saying "Ohhhh F**k yeah!" that would be awesome

Hmm never put any thought into it but they do all sound different. My dads 91 sounds different then my 89. Personally I guess I just dont care but I too am looking into a high torque mini starter!

I LOVE the sound of the stock 87-91 starter...go to the intro page to www.mustanggt.org and you will hear it...the 92-93 sound like all the newer ones and like the trucks of the same vintage...its just not the same
