if you race someone.. and their front bumper is at ur rear bumper, did you beat them by a car length? some say if their is a car length between ur rear bumper and their front bumper than you beat them by a car... which is it?

If you're ahead and their front bumper is at your rear bumper, then its not a car length. Then I say "their front bumper was on my ass"

if their is the size of an imaginary car between my rear and his front, then thata "beating him by a car length."

but in reality ur ahead by 2 car lengths if u have one in between... because even if there wasn't the gap, you would be right at their rear, and it would take a car length to be even with them...

I started to type something but then I just contradicted myself.
PS, this is why we need a 94-95 Talk section.

tied = zero car lenghts
at your bumper = 1 car length

thats the only way it makes sense to me

ther needs to be air between your bumper and theirs
if not its almost... and any run where its almost is a "damn good run"

anything a 1/2 cars is "I inched hon him"

yes

and a car between your bumper and their front is 2 cars

and so on.

anything over 3 cars is negligable and you cant actually measure by site and each persons perception will vary when it gets that far apart. but it doesnt matter because they got beat significantly.

Unless you drive a honda or something. I raced a friend the other day and I beat him by about 2 car lenghts.(you could fit a car between my back bumper and his front.) We raced twice same outcome each time. After all this is calls it a tie!!! There is a typical ricer for you.
