What do you think of these HID's

I was thinking of ordering this HID conversion kit. Not sure why, I used to hate these, but my neighbor has a blown 99-04 with HID's and they look sick and are very bright. Will this for sure blind everyone in my path or can adjust these correctly. Take a look.

Well, I think that is the same place my brother bought his from. I know he said they were from Hong Kong and he got them in 2 days. If so, they are pretty darn bright. Real easy to install also. He got the 4300K kit. Looks sweet at night. I was thinking about getting them also but I don't want my fogs to be way off.

HID's in a halogen reflector headlight = GLARE

They look very nice I have the 8000k in my car and it looks amazing and they are very bright. Its pretty easy to focus them so you would be fine with that .

8k is not "bright." OEM cars use a 4300K bulb.

FWIW, the higher in the light spectrum you go (more K's), the less usuable light output you get.

Driving with 8 or 12K in rain or fog won't be much fun.

I got the 8000k for the looks and they are still alot brighter than normal halogen lights. I like how the blueish beam kinda matches my car

If you put them in a stock headlight they will glare and blind people.


Some people don't care, but i've always considered doing this very selfish and inconsiderate of those who you share the road with.


I actually own an 8000K HID kit, but it's not installed for the above reasons. Maybe one day i'll do a HID projector retrofit and "do it right"

cool, i have 5000k with projector headlights in my car.

Get the 4200K temp... i wouldn't go above that.

Since this picture i brought new projector headlights and the spread is way better. I dont have a picture though. The ground is pretty much white with my new projector but still has abit of blueish which i hate. Im going to order a 1 piece set of projector headlights with a ultra clear lense so it only shows 100 % white on the roads. Thats another reason why my next pair will be 4200k's

If those are in a halogen projector headlight, they'll still have glare but just not as bad as in a halogen headlight. They don't look too bad though if they are.

The only real way to have a true HID cutoff line is to retrofit an HID projector into your headlight housing.

yep, they have a small glare, but its not blinding to other drivers like a halogen housing.

The only real drawback I see is that the projectors don't have any width to them. There's also a hotspot in the middle, most likely again due to the halogen design.

But, overall it's much better than HID bulbs in the stock headlights.

dont buy ebay crap... you get what you pay for... go to www.stangmods.com hes treated me right when ive had any problems.
