I used to leave an open box of arm & hammer baking powder somewhere in the car for a while. It will absorb the odors. Kinda like when you put them in the fridge or freezer to absorb food odors. Works good.

When I bought my 93 it smelled like wet dog. I put the baking powder or soda in there and left it for a while. Can't even tell that the previous owner had a dog in the car.
Usually when i need to get a smell out of my car, i get out my wet dry-vac, spray down some carpet cleaner and a little water and basically shampoo my entire interior.
