As you can tell by the subject I am curious as to what GT stands for? Not only the mustang but a lot of other car manufactures put the title GT on their cars. Has me wondering.
Since Ferrari was the first to use the designation in the 1950's, the most correct answer is "Gran Turismo", which is Italian for Grand Touring. This loosely translates to "sporty-driving".
Yeah, GT in terms of tha Mustang originally meant "Grand Touring" but these days GT pretty much just means AWESOME, lol It's also an abbev. for Grand Turismo, but I believe that is mostly in import cars. Like I know that's what it means for a Skyline GT-R V-specII.
