What does this plug go to?

Found the plug on the drivers side of the car. I was going through all the wires because I am not getting any codes on my scanner. Its a 91 mustang gt.

That looks familer. Where is that plug on the car. Are you upfront or inside the car on the driverside.

I think I asked this same question last year....if it's the same one I was talking about...it was supposed to connect to a option that our cars didnt have.......so bascially it doesnt connect to anything.

I found mine on the driver side and was hanging out the hole under the starter solinoid.

i found the plug on the drivers side inside the fender. the plug is grouped together with the plug that hooks up to the windshield cleaner reservoir.

Looks like the plug for DRLs. Location sounds correct. The plug usually comes with a shorting cap on US cars. Canadian cars are equipped with the DRL module.

o ok dang well its gotta be something else thats causing me not to be able to draw the codes from the computer

sorry.

have you looked behind the drivers strut tower to find the plug to get codes from?

i have a 91 'canadian cobra', and i don't have daytime running lights.... i know new cars need them here, but didnt know old cars were required to have them....? was it an option?

no, i have pulled the codes, well atleast tried to and i cant get anything to show up on my scanner.
