what driveshafts will work in my 66 fastback?

I am pulling the motor and tranny out of the car and i checked the driveshaft. I have been getting alot of vibrations. The driveshaft looks like it has hit the groung and tweeked it a little. I think the new universal joints hid the vibration some but now they are bad so vibration is horrible. I need to know what other car's driveshaft are the same as my 66 fastback with a 289/c4/8" combo.

Other mustangs of the same year. If I was you I would just get a new one, even an aluminum one at that. I went through the same thing and had 2 junk v-8 shafts before I just sucked it up and bought a new one.

one problem, 300 dollars. I have spent my money on the cam and heads. I discovered this pulling it apart for the cam/head change.

True, its 300$ but if you get go to a junkyard, I think kentucky mustang charged me 75$ for one and I went to have it balanced, found out it was junk, but they where going to charge me 50$ to balance it on a 40 year shaft. That still leaves you 175$ to come up with.

But anyway, the best bet would be to find one from an old mustang or measure like that page shows you to on street or track and call up some junkyards. I think somebody said at one time maybe an astro van was the same size?

will any driveshaft from an older mustang fit my car? maybe falcons? what else?

any v-8 mustang 65-66 with the same tranny and rearend will fit. I'm not sure on the falcons but I would think the 65-66 falcons would as well but like I said just measure and go looking.
