if neither what is a good cold air intake... i dont want to compromise quality so if a good name brand one costs a little more thats fine, but i was told these are just as good...
Consensus, from what I have seen on the board, is that CAI dont really do much other than look pretty. So if thats true then pick whatever looks the best. The seems to be some hub-bub about the new MAC Straight shot though so you may want to save you nickels and dimes some more and check that out.
yeah im aware they only make like 5-10 horse but they make the exhaust sound a little meaner from my experiance with my previous one on my 96 stang... do you guys agree with the sound thing or is it just me, and what are the claims on the new one everyone is buzzing about
The MAC Straight Shot CAI claims 17 to 25 rwhp but that is pretty hard to believe....there is testing being done by someone here on the forum and he will share the dyno numbers when he gets them. I got one coming next week....I just think it looks better than stock and even if it does not increase my rwhp as much as they claim i know at least its higher than it was before....
