Hello all. I'm a frequent reader, first time poster. I am converting my 66 Mustang to EFI. I have 90% of the parts. The one big thing I DON'T have is the main wiring harness. I'm just wondering, those of you that have converted, did you use a late model harness and configure it for your Mustang, or did you buy an aftermarket one, if so which brand? I already got screwed out of some money by Windsor-Fox.com (that's a whole other story), so I'd like to know what companies have sold good products to you. I'm hesistant to use a late model harness and configure it to my car. I'm a pretty good wrench man but electronics is something else. Thanks for any help you can give me. I searched the entire 'Classic Tech' forum and emailed some of you.

Thanks again,

Gary in GA.

You can use a late model harness. I have a a harness and computer that orignally came out of a 89 GT that had been running a 5.0 in a 67 stang that I'm thinking about getting rid of. Im planning to megasquirt my car. Sorry not trying to turn this in to a classified. But anyways you will be just fine with a fox body style wiring harness.

While we are here....

I'm helping a friend put a 90 fox drive line into his 68. Does anyone have a quick reference guide for the wiring using a stock harness ? He bough the 90 as a donor car so we have everything at our disposal.

I made my own,by modifying 91 Mustang harness, using diagrams from fordfuelinjection. If I had to do it again, I'd buy a conversion harness from them.

Check out:

That's the Ford Racing manual for their wiring harness, which happens to be a duplicate of the 91-93 harness. I found it very helpful when I wired mine.

Garycroix - did you get my email response on this subject?
