What gains to expect with pi intake

I am going to installed a pi intake with c&l upper on my 96 stang. What gains am I to expect, if any?

I remeber reading a article about a comparison of the pi intake against some aftermarket ones and I personally wouldnt pay more money for the aftermarkets. The pi flowed very well but make sure you get the new style intake wich is aluminum/plastic and not all plastic. Also I am not sure the pi intake will fit with the pi heads. Anyone know about this?

Im pretty sure you can use the PI intake with the non PI heads.someone correct me if im wrong. However I would recommend doing the whole swap. Its worth it.You will gain a little with just the intake and that plenum though but I do not have an exact number for you.

Your best bet with NPI heads/intake would be on
(1) Larger budget you could do a full headswap w/ intake manifold swap as well

(2) Smaller budget with around the same gains as (1), Intake Manifold swap with PI cams, still reusing the NPI heads.

I dont know what kinda horsepower gains I got because I did the PI cams with it also, but my car pulls to like 5300 rpm now. You should expect it to pull more up top.

The intake bolts right up to NPI heads using PI gaskets and a dab of RTV around the coolant ports. Gains are probably around 10-15rwhp, and PI cams are good for another ~15. PI cams/intake are definite worthwhile mod for any NPI 4.6
