Ok decided to build my 8.8 with Moser 31 Spline axels, t/a diff cover, gears, weld axel tubes/torque boxes, and an Eaton posi. I plan on running 1/8th mile mostly and quarter mile sometimes. With my mods that are listed below should I get a 4.10 ring and pinion or 3.73 ring and pinion? I'm leaning towards the 4.10 because its 1/8th mile mostly. Thanks all!!

IMO, if it's a drag only car go to the max. I've run 5.13s back in the day (OK it was a Chevy) shifted at 7grand and went through the
(1/4) lights at 118mph (OK it was also a station wagon that weighed 3600 pounds).
On the other hand, if you want to run it on the street as well, stick with your 3.73s.
In my 99Gt. I'm running 3.55s, but I take it on 600 mile trips.

I'm with Mr. Sheep on this one.

4.10s and a blower make traction damn near impossible.

I went with 4.10's, I'll tell you how it is when I get them installed in March. From what everyone says, 4.10's are the only gears worth swapping to in an NA 2v.

just put 4.30's in my 03 cobra and talk about traction issues
Traction is a thing of the past. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears are all pretty well worthless. Hoping a set of DR's will help some.

Im running 4.10s on mine and all you neeed is a good tire. Look at a nice set of DRs like MTs or BFGs and youll be alright. I have Nitto DRs and they suck. Had the car out yesterday and from a 60mph roll the car went sideways, it was cold out though

The thing is we centri guys need more gear to get and keep us in the powerband. I looked at switching to 3.73 and everyone told me I would be dissapointed.
