what head gasket for a 347?

hey guys im looking on summit.com for a head gasket set and it is asking me what bore size. i was told to use the stock OEM set from Felpro. the motor is a 1989 block 5.0 302 now a 347 with AFR 185 heads. the block was bored 40 over. thanks

If your motor is .040 over, the bore size would be 4.040 The Fel-Pro gasket your probably looking for is part# 1011-1

I run 1011-2's on mine (.039" thickness) Rick 91GT recommends 1011-1's (.041" thickness) for me though. If I ever swap heads i'll be doing the 1011-1's.

Are you sure your bore isn't 4.030"x 3.4" stroke (347)

some one told me that the 1011-1 is not what o need they said i need the 1011-2. what the heak? whats the differance? i already bought 1011-1. mmmmmmmm

The fire ring material and the compressed thickness is the difference.
