Hey, I just ordered a Magnaflow cat back for my mustang, and was wondering what header and X or H pipe to get? As far as headers, I was looking at BBK, but they have shorty, equal length shorty, and full length.. Any help is appreciated.

I have bassani equal lengths into a pypes off road X and it fits really well. I'm happy with it, looks real clean and stays nice an parallel to the bottom of the car.

BBK equal length shortys are a very nice product, i have the chrome and there not looking too good after about 1500 miles. i would reccomend the ceramic coated it would be worth it. I wouldn't reccomend the Pypes xpipe because it hangs so low and scrapes alot plus it doesnt have any hangers so it just relies on the header height and muffler hangers to hold it up. i would reccomend an X pipe over an H though because it gives it a very throaty sound and its loud! I would probably go with the BBK x off road X pipe.

My pypes x pipe hangs about a half inch lower than the pinch weld. It needed the use of pole jacks and a trans jack to get where it is but it looks really nice and fits into place extremely well. I've never ran hangers off the x pipe when I had my x pipe and never had any problems with it. My buddy also ran a pypes x pipe on his 88 lx and it was fine.

I have the ceramic BBK shorty headers - they fit great and are pretty cheap. They do get discolored pretty quickly so get ceramic coated if you want them to look nice and hold in the heat better. I have the Bassani catted X Pipe which I highly recomend. It fits great and sounds great!
