what heads fit on the 5.4 block?

what heads will work with the 5.4? i dont know much about the modular engines, will the stock 4.6PI heads work?

Yes all the modular heads(except off the V10,natch) will interchange. You should do a little research though as some production heads are better than others,depending on application.

all mod v8's fit. pi's are fair. 3v's better, 4v best. but finding an intake to work with hp is expensive. i passed up a 5.4 4v because it had a navigator intake.

Try and find a used set of P.I heads on here or E bay for 400.00 or less. They will bolt right up. 2valve or 4?

all the V8 modular heads will work? what kind of project you thinking of? I don't know of any 2v intakes for the 5.4 but i have seen a few for 4V heads. One was for a carb setup. that would really simplify a 5.4 swap.

plan is to buy a cheap 5.4, get forged internals (low compression) and run about 20lbs of boost on it with a vortech

so your looking for a junkyard truck motor, forge it and slap a T trim on it.
check out reichard for help. they have adapter plates to put a 4.6 intake on a 5.4
