Open your hood. Find the air cleaner. Right after the air cleaner is the MAF (Mass Air Flow Sensor) which has a black box with wires commin out of it. Then there is a black tube. Still fowllowing me?

At the end of the black tube near the top of the motor is the throttle bottle. It has a cable attached to it. If you move the cable while the car is running, the engine will rev.

The throttle body is connected to the plenum. It has the horse on it (if it is stock). The plenum is what allows the air to bend downward into the motor.

I wouldnt say elbow, the 99+ (or at least on my 03) is a flat rectangle. A lot of the aftermarkets would be easily described as an elbow, but even the Accufab is the same general shape of the stock.

Well maybe you wouldn't, but alot of people DO call them elbows. Generally, a plenum would be defined as a chamber, located between the throttle body and the runners of an intake manifold, used to distribute the intake charge evenly and to enhance engine breathing. That is NOT what an elbow is. The elbow's function is to turn the air flow downward into the plenum of the intake manifold smoothly (without turbulance) and without losing velocity.

Well whatever it could be commonly called, for description purposes, the picture of the accufab most closely represents the visual dimentions of the stocker, compared to dragon, C&L, and trick flow wich I believe all of wich are the "elbow" shape

Sorry, I'll let it go after this, but what exactly is "elbow shaped"? Are we talking about elbow macaroni or something? If you look closely at the Accufab, it too, is, what you call, 'elbow shaped'. It's not just a box. And besides being the best looking elbow, actually it's the best performing one of the bunch.

lmao when I think of elbow, elbow maccaroni or a curled human elbow (lifting a dumbell) is what comes to mind. The stock and the Accufab to me look more like a rectangle, true the "elbow" is inside, but I think it looks sexier than the ones that look like something from the plumbing store

I have the accufab and I love the looks and the throttle response
