what is better??

hey i have a 1999 mustang gt completely stock except for a couple of flowmaster mufflers. i was planning on buying some headers but i wanted to know if i would be better with long or short tube. also i wanted to know what sounds better, x or h pipe?

Don't waste your money on short tube headers. They do absolutely NOTHING.

The mid-pipe is subjective. X's give a higher-toned scream while H's give a lower-toned growl. It depends on what you prefer.

hands down go with long tubes...you'll be pissed if you go through all the troubles og getting shorties in there and not even feeling a difference and realizin you only gained 2hp

as for the mid pipes, just like vee eight said, h's give a low rumble, x's have a high raspy sound..keep in mind though, flows sound like total ass with an x pipe... check youtube for exhaust vids
