I already have two '87 mustangs, 1 is a factory no options gt and the other is a wreck and rebuilt 4 banger. I am currently looking for a straight non wrecked (or at least if it has been wrecked it has been fixed correctly so as not to tell) '87 to '93 v-8 car, or atleast a good solid body (4 cyl or v-8 doesn't matter) to do for my wife. what I want to know is what is the most you have spent for a body or are willing to spend for a body in good shape?

I would have posted in the 5.0 talk forums but I figured we all being from the south would be a more reasonable answer.

are you talking about a whole car or just basically a hull?
a good running and driving car is around 5k but a real nice one is upwards around 10k

but if you want a solid body to rebuild the whole thing i would say you could get one for 2k or less depending on how butchered it is/

I built my 82 out of a $50 parts car. I have paid from $45 to $450 for Mustang parts cars. My running 2.3 LX notch was $500.

I see rollers for sale locally for $2-800 or so, some with stuff like cages already in, although the quality may vary....

Running 4 bangers seem to be in the $1200 to $2200 and up range right now.
