Does anybody know what the name of this part is? This is a 2003 mustang gt and i’m curious to what this does. Thanks

Those are [Caster/Camber Plates].


They are the mount point for the front struts and are used to adjust (you guessed it) the caster and camber of the front end.

Thank you, I just saw it was a rusty part and I had no idea what it was. Do these really need to be replaced frequently?

Nope. They generally do not go bad.

Lots of folks replace them but for performance reasons. Either they need more adjustment or rigidity or both.

Lowering the car can put you out of the adjustment range of stock plates.
