What is this plug for? It’s in the trunk.

It looks more like a PC mother board connector than an automotive connector. Where does the wiring harness go? Is it stock?

If it's stock then my vote is a stereo system.

It looks stock and it’s tied into the factory harness on the driver side of the trunk. It’s laying in the floor of the trunk. If that makes sense.

Whatever it is, it's not a factory Ford connector. A couple possibilities come to mind but are not limited to:

Half of a disconnecting trailer harness
A plug installed to run an after market stereo amp through the factory wiring

Interesting. Everything seems to be working. I’ll look at it more when I get a day off work. Thanks for the replies.
