On the driver side of the oil pan on the side what is the connector for? Why dont my oil pan conversion for my 351w have one? It's a FRPP fox swap oil pan kit. peace

it's the oil level switch. for the dummy light.

well then i guess i really dont need it? how do i not use it and keep the light off? peace

You may not have to do anything to it. I would think, and I could be totally wrong, that it would depend on whether the sensor triggers and open circuit or a closed circuit to turn the light on when the oil level is too low or whether it's just a reference voltage kind of thing. 1 of 3 things is possible. Do nothing and see what it does. If it triggers the light, try jumpering the terminals and closing the circuit. If neither of those work, you would have to rig something to send a constant reference voltage to the system so it would think everything is normal. I'm not an electircal/sensor guru at all and I'm sure others will chime in with more definitive answers for you but hopefully some of this helps.
