What is this?

Could be unrelated since I never generated the 81, 84, or 44 94 codes. So I guess it's functioning some what:p

Just was pointing out that the vacuum line on top was missing.
This is on a 94-95, right? Two-digit codes are for Fox III's.

I thought you said you'd had 311 and 314 codes in the past. Those are AIR codes. Without a vacuum signal, a diverter can't function dynamically.

Oh woops (I was reading from old threads, did not know that, learn something new every day).
Yeah 94 to 95:P

I really need to pull codes again, but yes 311 and 314. Where is this suppose to be connected to?

And finally, do you sleep?

It goes to a solenoid inside the passenger fender.
A couple hours a night. :)

I'll look to reattaching it, should be 'simple' enough. Though with my luck, it sounds like a 4 day project....

Sounds about right, you and jricher are some of my favorite, helpful stangnet members:p
First, thanks for the kind words.:)

For info's sake or in case you need to trace lines or delve further into it:

The third pic (<- click) might help. You'll have to pull the fender liner. Look at those two little cuties sitting side by side (TAB and TAD; AKA AIR 1 and AIR 2). You can see the harness of plastic vac lines leaving those solenoids, heading towards the front of the car. They snake up past the inlet pipe and to where you see the connection and breaks in the engine bay.

I would replace the purge vac lines too if you open it up. The charcoal canister vapor line rots (it goes from the canister under the antenna to the purge solenoid on the passenger firewall).

I remember seeing these last time I visited the whole Emission smog issue a year ago! terrible unknowledgeable times. I guess this'll be my next little project after I get the car running right (see my other thread if you haven't yet, the car loves to give me trouble ).

Any benefits I should see from doing this, other than CEL not coming on anymore?:D
And what a great spot to move the charcoal canister to, in the pictures

How to say it in a PC kind of way........... Dealing with those codes might not be high on my priority list.

The canister is not supposed to need to be accessed, so I understand why they did that. In a way, it's better than having it in the way and exposed like it is on foxes. But when it comes time to deal with this stuff, it's a headache.

Yeahhh. In my fox it just sits there, ugly and all. Capped off without any use.
