Wow, that cost is about two times more than I expected...

I was not able to find a direct Ti setup for a small block Ford but I found a setup for a Chrysler and they want $1,300 for valves and retainers. Wouldn't be surprised if Ford valves were a little more so $1,500+ is a pretty good estimate.

I can't see spending this much on valves unless I was building a $20,000+ motor.

just go all out and get a custom titanium crank too. ive seen a dirt track motor with a titanium crank in it. that thing would hit 9000 in less than a second with just a blip of the throttle. the guy said the motor wound up too fast and was almost undriveable

If you have the cash...do it..why not? Every available addition will add up...but it's about available cash really.

You sound like one of my friends!!!

That's all I pretty much do except for the 4-5 times I make it to the track during the summer and a couple full throttle pulls on the street when I have the room.

That's pretty funny you said that tho cause I should be making around 450rwhp and puss it around town. Looks like a set of titanium valves are next on my list!!!

so its a good thing i sound like one of your friends? haha. If you have the cash to spend on titanium valves by all means do it and more power to you. I know some of my friends with 25,000$ motors and they have titanium valves!

Nah, just pointing out the fact that I have a 450rwhp mustang and I puss it around town. When we first all got our cars, they drove around like arrogant 17 year olds behind the wheel while I just cruised around and did some highway pulls once in a blue moon.

If you are running a big cam, titanium valves and lightweight rocker arms would be a blessing on the valve springs. I would spend the money elsewhere with a 302, aka, supercharger .

I agree with you on the big solid roller cam!!!! You would need to take all the stress of the valvetrain you can. . . . one of my buddies running street renegade next year is havin a new motor built and the lift is suppose to be over an 1.000!!!!!!!!!
