What kind of amp should i get for 2 12'' Solobarics

im getting 2 L5 solobarics and i was wondering should i get them in dual 4 ohm or 2ohm and whats the diff. I possess basic knowledge in amps/subs/etc and was gonna power this stuff with a hifonics brutus bx1605d mono 1600rms@1ohm and 1100rms@2ohm. How do i wire up the voice coils to run in 1ohm or 2ohm...? and another stupid question is how can a mono amp run 2 subs... or do i have the wrong idea of what mono stands for. sorry for the dumb questions

the speaker impedence will depend on the amp and if its stable to 1/2 ohms, so first decide on the amp and then choose the speakers

The total rms wattage for the L5's is 1200 watts, and the hifonics is putting out 1100 at 2ohms. So you will need to get the dual 2 ohm voice coil L5's. You will wire them in series at the subs and then wire them parrallel at the amp netting you 2ohms of resistance and 1100 watts of power.

While I dont reccomend this,i have used amps that were 1 ohm stable and wired them down to 1/2 ohm,these amps could take it,while others might heat up and shut off within a few minutes or as soon as you turn them up.

Another question, if a mono amp pushes say 1000rms, and is wired to 2 subs... do the subs see 500rms apiece or is each sub seeing 1000rms?
