What kind of oil and filter

just wondering what everone uses. i use motorcraft syn blend 5w20 with a wix filter. what do you use?

I switch brands a lot, sometimes synthetic sometimes conventional.
The last 2 oil changes Im using Castrol Syntec 10/30. It was on sale
with a K&N oil filter (1st time I tried a K&N) those suckers aint cheap....
they are like $12 each.... not sure whats so special about them, but
its working out fine.

most people will tell you a motorcraft filter is a MUST. ive had no problems with Mobil1 or FRAM (High mileage) filters

I will only use the Motorcraft filter. It has the valve that keeps all the oil from draining from the heads.
As far as oil, I only use Mobil 1 synthetic of Valvoline Synthetic.

seems like people like the mobil 1 full syn. i have not used it yet but i have use royal purple in my car and didnt really like it all that much.

I use only the Motorcraft FL-820s along with M1... Although lately I've been using cheap Shell dino oil cuz my car has leaky stem seals and eats oil like a mother...

Mobil 1 fully synthetic 5w20 with a Motorcraft filter. Used a FRAM filter once and I could literally hear the valve rattle every time i started the car. Like laser said, the Motorcrafts have the little backflow valve which the FRAM does not and this is why some peopel experience the noise.

Mobil 1 synthestic and K&N filter..may be changing back to motorcraft after hearing what laser had to say.. sometimes i run 5w-20 sometimes 10w-30...i think i get less valvetrain noise with the 10.. other than that, i notice no difference

Mobil 1 5w30 and a M1 filter. I think it comes with the valve in it, and since its made specifically for that oil, why not? I have one of those autozone rewards cards anyway, so every 5th super expensive oil change is free.
