Depends on what kind of sound you want... Heres the basics:

any offroad H or X will crackle like hell at 2700 - 3100 rpms. trust me on this one Not just a small crackle...its more of a machine gun/ multiple gun shot sound.... i've had an offroad h, an offroad X and a catted X all on my car.

almost everyone loves the sound and growl of an offroad prochamber because it doesnt crackle like a normal offroad x or H. It keeps its tone throughout the rpm range because of the chamber.

if you want to keep cats on it, both catted H's and X's sound great. A catted H will sound a lot deeper. A catted X will snarl more with just a tiny tiny bit of rasp and more of a ripping sound.

my favorite combo so far would have to be my current set up: magnapacks paired up with my SLP offroad X pipe. It crackles/gunshot blasts less than an offroad H and still sounds loud pretty damn loud...which i want. *Note* once you get an offroad pipe with the magnapacks (or any other straight through muffler (ie: loudmouth or stingers) every other exhaust combo will sound quiet in comparrison

Those are good basics to go by. I've got the Magnaflow catted-X and I love it. Wish I had some soundclips for you to hear, but I don't have that kind of technology.

Ive had off road & catted x's, & now I have a catted H. i prefer the h because of the deeper tone. With the Magnapacks u have, u probably should go with a catted pipe, or else it will crackle like hell. Its all a matter of personal preference. Out of all the different exhaust setups I have had, I like this one the best because it sounds smooth, deep, but not too loud. Yours would be quite a bit louder because of the packs u have.Heres some crappy clips of my 03 Mach with a MRT catted H, & Magnaflow catback. Hopefully it works, ive never posted vids b4.

i have the 'packs, with an o/r H, and i can vouch for how much it cackles. It definitely makes its presence known. For you, i'd say catted H. It'd make a good pair with the 'packs.

IMHO o/r midpipe + packs sounds worse than o/r + LM1

if you want something other than what sounds like firecrackers(loudness times 1 million) after you let off the gas, id suggest going a catted pipe

I only get cracking and popping between 2700-3000 rpms when decelerating. I'd like to hear the packs with a prochamber, that would be interesting. From what i've heard, the packs will pop and such more than the stingers.

anything you get with cats will sound nice

it all depends on how you wish to shape the sound

lower/deeper: go H

higher/more aggressive (NASCAR): go X

this has been stated above already tho

you will get more crackling wit the X over the H but its toned down a lot and sounds quite nice

also manufacturers cats all flow differently. a bbk is different than magnaflow and theyre both different to slp

slp IMHO flows the best and is the closest to not having one at all

magnaflow has an awesome cat but i think their midpipes are a tad overpriced

I have the MRT catted H with the packs and I love the sound. I will post some clips when I get home from work tonight. I would not go O/R with SLP or the Packs but thats just my opinion.
