I will be running a KB 1.7L intercooled kit, only other mods would be gears, torque converter, full exhaust (long tubes, x-pipe, cat-back), and suspension mods, I will only run the kit with around 7-9 PSI. I want it to be very safe to run, at not blow the motor. What kind of HP numbers would I be putting down with this combo, I'm saying somewhere around 360WHP, but I am not sure, so if anybody can chime in, that would be great.

The #s I've seen vary greatly. I've seen 5-speeds with no additional mods dyno as high as 400 and as low as 340. That's with the 9 PSI intercooled kit. With an auto, I'd expect 360-380 with your mods. I only have 4.10 gears, magnaflow CB and is expecting "only" 350-ish.

Really, I don't know. Someone who already has one could answer this better...

90% of what you'll make depends on the tune. Some guys have great luck with KBs supplied tune, some don't. Engine longevity and maximum power are inversely related here.

I'm running 7# non-intercooled and making around 330-335rwhp. With your intercooler you can run more timing to bump that number up. Just be sure to dyno it before and after your install.

We're getting 340 with my 6# kit.

I've seen 350 with a 9# IC kit. (stock exhaust)

I've seen 400 with a 9# IC kit

A buddy just went forged and will go 14# after the break in period...he's looking for 500

I made about 400/400 with the KB supplied chip. This was running dangerously lean. I had it retuned by an experienced SCT tuner and my current SAE numbers are in sig. My mods are in sig as well.

Yeah, I dig mine too. I had the KB supplied gauges on there for a while but they look cheap. So I decided to go with the full setup.

Simco (SP?) makes a similar one without the broncos horsie on it now that is looking good aswell for about $250. I got mine slightly used (mint condition) for $300 shipped... I could not pass it up

how big is the stall and is it a locked or unlocked TC? This will play a large factor in your dyno numbers.
