What part is this?

I was in changing my brake shoes when I noticed this part was broken...

The one on the other side looks like it is about to break as well, what part is this?

Really small, but I think you are talking about the quad shock. I am pretty sure that is wha they are called anyway.

Its a quad shock - prevents wheel hop. Won't kill you if its broken. I have aftermarket upper and lower control arms so i removed mine.
