With the Shaker it probably is a Premium. Best way is to run the VIN number, might even be able to find the 'window sticker' somewhere on the internet

I'm not positive, but I think the Premium package came with ABS brakes, Leather seats and the Grill coral with Fog Lights. I'm not sure if the Shaker 1000 was part of that package or not.

I think my '05 vert is a Deluxe, (it was also a fleet vehicle), and it came with ABS, Shaker 500, Leather Seats.

Also, check the thermostat housing. If it is a platic unit, you may want to replace it.

Just replace it. I was moving a pretty good clip in a tight turn when the one in my wife's car let loose. Guess how greasy the rear wheels got in that turn.

For a moment, I thought I was going to have to go all the way around to keep it on the road.

Everyone appears to know about this except for Ford.

I read where in those years, that they have paint problems on the hood, is a repainting the hood all they need?

Usually, but the problem seems to be pretty rare.

That's because it's all the S197 forums talked about from 2005-2009 or so.
