Well, I have to update my list. After talking with the wife, the impact of the work on my Amigo has changed. It's all good though, I'll be installing a fuel injected 302 and a 5 speed transmission (likely a T-5) with a hydraulic clutch. I've got a fresh 302 with '69 351w heads sitting on a stand. I'll probably put the spyder in it and swap the cam out with a hydraulic roller cam, not sure of what intake and computer. maybe a Mustang, or maybe a Crown Vic as they're plentiful in the junkyards. The radiator will be a generic aluminum one and I'll change the front dress over to a serpentine setup. Funnest parts will likely be adapting a Ford P/S pump and A/C compressor to the Isuzu stuff.

Kicking around the idea of putting Ford Emblems front and rear and getting some Bronco II emblems and turning them into Bronco III emblems.

Within the month I will be pulling an engine I had not planned on having to pull.

First complete the new custom wood dash for my ski boat, then complete putting the new floor in the ski boat, take the upholstery back to the shop to have it done right this time, wire in the stereo, put down the carpet, build a new base for the engine cover, figure out how to mount the rear seat...

Then it's get back to the stroker build on my 351W and finally try to get the 69 fast back to the strip.

That's after finishing up the air system in my shop, getting the old 220 oven set up for powder coating, seting up the sandblasting cabinet, finishing the insulation and interior steel in my shop, and then rebuild the hunter tire machine I picked up last month...

Then there's the timing belt and water pump in my wife's accord.

Ok, I'm depressed now looking at all this and I'm sure I forgot several things and didn't even start the list on the house / boat dock!

Well, I'm gonna start with.....

1948 Chevy Panel truck that ran NHRA drag racing at airports in the South.
1967 Mustang fastback, 289 4 speed Shelby clone
1974 Cuda 408 stroker auto clone
1967 Barracuda Formula S fastback
1970 SuperBee 383 auto
1968 Charger R/T 440 auto
1966 Charger 383 4 speed, custom intake
1967 Barracuda notchback 318 auto custom interior(got material today!)
1963 Fury 426 Hemi, Hilborn fuel injected (may move this project up)
1968 SuperBee 383 auto
1969 Barracuda 340-S auto
1967 GTO convertible
1968 Dart vert 340 GTS clone
1968 Dart vert, /6 stock rebuild
1972 Duster 340 auto clone of my first car
1968 Coronet R/T 440 auto
1966 GTO 389 4 speed
1978 Firebird 425 Olds engine
1966 Charger 383 auto

Whew! I'm tired already!!
Now I ACTUALLY HAVE all of these cars and engines already. The ones that are clones are named. The rest are real. I've been accumulating them for the past few years for my upcoming retirement. Almost all of them need a total rebuild. There are even a few others that are lower on the priority than those above These cars will BE my retirement!! If I ever get out of this hotel room, that is...
Wish me luck!! No, I don't have a family.

Maniac!

I'm stuck between buying a 50's model pickup, or doing up my 68' coupe right. And by doing it right, I mean MII suspension, t56 six speed, 9", efi 347 or 393 yadda yadda.

Let's see what projects I have on the list...

Replace the door locks and ignition switch
swap the rear end gear
replace the power steering gear box
Install auxilary gauges
Stereo
new tires

I think that is about all that is in the budget this year

This fall I plan on taking autobody classes at the local vo-tech. Then I will probably start the body work that I can do in the fall.

I think fixing my power steering leak just worked it's way up the list. I was running errands today and when I came out of a store, I saw a trail leading to a big puddle under the control valve. Hopefully it's just the hoses and not the control valve itself.

EDIT: Hmmm . . . may not have a p/s leak afterall. When I saw the trail & puddle, I checked the level but because of all the writing on the dipstick, it was difficult to read, but I thought it said it was below the add line. I got more p/s fluid added a little and checked the dipstick. On the front, it was still difficult to read so I looked at the backside. The fluid was about 1/4" above the full line. So we're thinking it might have just been over full and blowing out. But we went ahead and powerwashed the control valve & the driveway so it if is leaking, we'll be able to see it.

After this racing season. I'm taking hte 390 out and and building a BBF 503ci to go in. Also I'm cutting the shock towers out to make room for 503 and putting a rack a pinon in it. I'm also going to put a roll cage in it. Right now I a roll bar and the car wouldn't be illegal with that, at the speeds I'll be going.
