I swapped out intake's and am wondering what this sensor does...it's located at the right front side of the lower manifold.

Thanks, Dave

if passenger side its probably the ECT, which tells the computer the temp of the engine coolant. if driverside it is likely the ACT which tells the computer the tmp of the air charge. but, yes we need a pic to be certain.

Sorry no pic's,camera on the fritz. When i pulled the sensor it had carbon build up on it. So this would lead me to believe that it would be somthing other than a coolant sensor.

If its on the drivers side and screws into the 1st intake runner, its the ACT sensor. Has a pointed nipple on it with a split wire looking thing suspended in the center. Looks like this:

I think its your ACT sensor, its kinda pointy and i have seen them with carbon buildup, kinda black and sticky but mostly dirt, get it replaced with a new one, when dirty can cause hesitation on WOT.

HISSIN50 can you send this in pdf or word format? I'm having trouble printing this out.

Here is the original source of the pic:

http://www.leemotorsports.com/f350/50enginepartsguide.JPG

Maybe you can make it work from its originating source. If not, get with Tim (Stang 22 - that's his webpage).

I'm a real computer moron and don't know how to help ya otherwise. Were it me, the best I'd know to do is save it on my puter and resize it from there.

Good luck.
