I have no personal experience with them, but I heard that Tokicos are very nice. You may be able to get a good deal on some Bullitt spec ones.
As for C/C plates, I have the Pro3i ones from Partshopper and they're very nice. The UPR "Shark" plates look awesome too. http://www.mustangtuning.com/ca.html
People keep saying Koni or Tokico which do you guys think are better? I can get a set of Tokico Illumina 5 ways for $300 locally...good deal? there used.
I think the Tokicos are good shocks for the Mustang and the Bilstiens are good too but the Konis IMO are a step up. The Konis are just too expensive. I have the tokico Illuminas set on the max setting which is great for the smooth roads I drive on. If you drive on rougher roads they can be set softer and may be great for that too.
I think 300 bucks is a bit high for used Tokicos so I'd try and offer less. To me, they should be able to be had for less than half the cost of new and that's only if they have very low miles on them.
If you are not changing to lowering springs or don't have a problem with alignment then the CC plates my not be needed although I believe the Mustang needs them since the Factory settings for Caster can't be adjusted. The Camber has minimal adjustment too that is usually all used up in the variences of assembly/manufacturing tolerances.
The Steeda, MM, D&D, QA1 and other CC plates are all good, I have the Steeda 4 bolt and they are nice. My son picked up a set of J & M 4 bolts for his GT that function every bit as well as my Steedas and cost $70 less.
Be careful about Tokicos and MM CC plates. I have this combination and I can't get rid of a loud clunking noise when going over large bumps such as speed bumps.
I have read others complaining about this on one of the Mustang forums so I know that I am not alone. Do some research first.
On the other hand, the Tokicos are great and the plates are great. The alignment shop loves them. You might try Steeda plates since they sell Tokico also and they should work together.
