My friend has a 2001 GT W/
-O/R X-pipe
-Flowmasters
-3.90's
-17X10.5 w/ Nitto's in back 315's
-struts front and back
-Lowering springs
-BBK Lower control Arms
-BBK Subframe Connectors
-Pro 5.0 shifter w/ Q-ball
-BBK Pullies
-BBK CAI
-Diablo Tuner (w/ special tune @ 261 rwhp 303rwtq)
-75mm TB
-BBK PI
-Throttle body spacer

I was thinking
-Injectors
-Shorty headers (what would be the hp gain; he doesn't what Long tubes)
-Intake Manifold
-Cam

P.S. Tracktion is not a problem right now... LOL....

He wants to keep as much of his intake set-up as possible.

So... Vortech or Procharger?

It depends if he wants to stay NA or go FI.

I was going to stay NA but I looked at how people had spent all theis money on every bolt on and then heads and cams and they were just over 300rwhp. Where a stock GT with a blower would put down upper 300s.

NA - LT Headers, Heads and Cams
FI- MPH Mongoose kit and Tires because traction will be a problem.

He will lose his CAI but they dont do anything anyways and he will have to put on stock pullies.

What about an intake manifold? Hp gains? Is it worth it?

What about shorty headers too? He's got stock headers?

Depends on the intake. Fox-Lake P51 is nice, Trickflows new intake is nice as well...or the bullitt intake... None are going to give OUTSTANDING gains.

Shorties won't be any different than stock unless pushing some sort of FI...

N/A: Typhoon intake. MM&FF dynoed one at 25RWHP!!! BUT...it is almost 700 dollars!! I would also add cams. They usually will pick up 60-75HP with a good tune and depending on other mods.

Forced induction: Vortec V2SQ,Procharger P1SC. They make nice turbo kits for 2V's as well, but they require lots and lots of fabrication.
