What size are the stock rear speakers in my coupe?

I need to know the size of the stock speakers in my 86 coupe. It has the premium sound package.
I have a set of 5x7s to go in their but they dont look like they will fit.

i believe its is 5x7 or maybe 6x8? i have 6x9 in the back of my 91 notch. but i had to modify them to fit

i just took 5x7's outta my 90 coupe...modified it to fit 6x9's

5x7 is factory size, should bolt right in....

www.crutchfiled.com Crutchfield is a mail orde/ internet company that sells lots of car stereo and other stereo/video stuff. They have a catalog and a web site that will tell you what will fit your your car. I have ordered lots of stuff from them and have always been happy.
They include any needed adapters and wiring harness for free for what ever you buy. They recommend 6x8s or 5x7s for your car

I just looked around and depending on the way you measure the speaker You can say that a 5x7 speaker is the same size as an 6x8. This is at least the case for the infinitys I have been looking at.

BUT the magnet may be too deep on infinity's but pioneers fit

That's only a problem with door speakers. You can fit a speaker with a foot deep magnet in the rear shelf of a coupe!

5x7 and 6x8 are the same bolt pattern. go w/ 6x8s
