Dont take my word man. Wait till others chime in. My vote is a 3 inch cowl at minimum. I looked at the pictures real good too.

That's what I was thinking but like you was waiting for someone else to chime in. I have a performer II intake and those tall FRPP valve covers and the 3" I have on mine clears. Then again your windsor sits a little taller. Did you have to run a spacer to clear the valve covers? I can't tell in the pics.

gET THE 4 TO BE SAFE,, HAD A FRIEND ORDERED A 3 ,, TO HIS DISMAY HE FELL ABOUT 1/4 INCH SHORT,,, GET THE 4 N PLAY IT SAFE,, N I LIKE THE 4 BETTER ANYWAYS ,, LOOKS MEANER,,, BETTER TO HVE TOO MUCH CLEARANCE THEN TO BE A C!NT HAIR TOO SHY...TRUST M THIS FRIEND HAD TO RETURN IT N REORDER A 4 WAT A PAIN IN THE A!!

i would fix that air intake setup, it should not be sitting like that, its way to high. Why not move the elbow down some, twist it at the throttle body and it wont sit as high. Then i would think a 2 1/2 or 3 inch cowl would be fine. There are guys running with 351's and stock hoods so you shouldnt need too big of a hood

try taking a couple of pics from the side of the car. like from the drivers side fender looking across to the pass. side. maybe one with lens right at the fender hight shooting straight across, that will give a good idea about how high you are for hood clearance.

I think that you can get away with a lot smaller than a 4" if you take care of the air filter issue. Just run the piping longer and run the filter where stock is, or out the inner fender.

yeah thats what im saying, i think the major issure here is the filter height, the plenum is in the middle of the hood which is the highest part so i think a cowl hood of 2 1/2 would work for you.

I still say 3 inch minimum. Hell IT could almost be four looking from the side. you should try putting a ruler on your side panel and use a level to get a rough idea. Do you know what Im talkin about?
