what size torx to remove seatbelts?

Just buy the full set.....you'll need the smaller ones to take out the dash anyway If you buy them, spring for the best quality ones you can afford. Cheap ones round off easily, especially when dealing with even lightly rusted in seatbelt bolts.

T-50

T-50 FTW. You might want to shoot some penetrating oil/spray under the car on the bolts and let it sit overnight. They can be a PITA sometimes. In fact I bought two T-50's when I removed mine just in case one broke.

I agree with these guys, you may need heat, and spray them down with PB blaster a bunch of times before you try it.
The seat belt bolts will almost certainly break a t50 not rated for an impact gun.
I broke 2 of them, and a set of vice grips on mine.

After you break the first bit, or strip the head of the bolt out, see if you can't weld a small piece of redi-rod or flat steel plate to the the head of the bolt so you have something to grab onto with a large vice grips to twist that baby out.

Just get a T50 and alot of T20's (used extensively in the interior).


I snapped the end of two T50's from GreatNeck clean off in the seat belt bolts.... Using a 3/8 ratchet! Make sure you get quality tools!!!
