Can't go wrong with a good mix of Supertramp, The Doors, Some Def Lep, can't forget CCR, Foreigner is always good, Fleetwood Mac as well.

Wow people like alot of horrible music theese days. I was at the gym lifting tonight and panic at the disco was playing I couldnt believe that crap. When i lift i need some heavy music to get me pumped. Im so sick of all theese talentless hacks people call bands coming out. Panic at the disco never even played a show together before they got signed.. WTF is happening to music theese days?

Seriously... Music has gone down hill the last couple of years... I feel bad for these kids today that grow up listening to bands that are created solely by the industry.

They (and their wussy parents) are drawn into and supprt these no talent, non creative hacks. If I was a parent, and my kids were listening to Panic at the Disco, Fallout Boy, My Chemical Romance, and all of these other cut your wrists and bleed over a highschool bands, I would physically remove any sound producing device from their hands for at least a 6 month period during which they would be forced to READ books about good music, even before they were once again allowed to listen to music that was created by people who knew what the hell they were doing.

To think that people used to have passion about the music aside from earning money is astonishing. What a concept.

One band i seen this weekend i had no respect for previously was flyleaf. I thought they were a joke before. But i seen them at Guavaween saturday and they were heavier than Ill Nino was. Was i ever suprised. Id rather listen to any bad 80's/ 90's song then listen to any of this new crap..

Phil from ATR loves Panic at the Disco. I've never heard them but judging by the people I see saying they're great, I can tell they suck. Anyway, we all give him endless **** for it

I look back on the...

60's for acid rawk
70's for southern/feel good rawk
80's for big hair rawk
90's for grunge rawk

and? 00's???

Crappy no talent asshats whose mommies didn't give enough milk who copy the rest of the previous decades because they can't come up with anything new and original so they write songs about a war which has the fewest fatalities on record and the "President Gas Man"... either that or they make some kind of beat and lip sync over a mic talkin about how their huge rims make them kewl or their down with the kewl stuff and an 8th grade kid could have wrote the song (Avril Lavigne).

omg all you guys are on crack... i can agree that music has changed, i agree with that 100%.. but theres nothing wrong with panic, fall out boy.. you guys sound like my parents when me and my brother who is 30 im 22, when matallica, and pantara all the sweet rock came out... you guys sound like you 40 or 50... all music changes.. there will never be the same music for a long time.. but ill listen to fall out boy and my chemical romance for 5000 hours befor i listen to RAP... thats $h*ts crap... times change and so do people.. i was at a matallica concert when greenday 1st came out the were a lame opener band.. now look at them,.. everything went from ROCk n Roll, to heavy metal to alternative to what you guys call EMO.. IF thats what you guys call it.. its still alternative to me.. infact its priority music to me cuz i wont listen to anything else on the radio.! so get a grip and rock out!
im gonna say - 3 for the 3 +1's i seen!!!

No offense but most of the new alternative bands are talentless hacks who dont write their own music. They are the new version of the backstreet boys. Look at the writers of the songs and the last names of band members. I have all right to call them hacks because ive been out in the scene with great bands that have got label attention but never signed. My old band was doing awesome and we had sony look at us. then they asked us to change our image to mimic whats out now. we said eff that and signed to a independant label before breaking up. I refuse to listen to what mainstream america calls music and shoves down other peoples throats.

To somewhat get this thread back on topic, Anthony Kiedis could singlehandedly throat kick any of these industry puppets that claim to have an ounce of credibility when it comes to writing music, performing, and living a lifestyle that is music.

Long gone are the days when stories of the sort involving names like, Layne Stanley, Kurt Cobain, Wes Berggren, Brad Nowell, etc. are spoken of in the media, because the current lineup of "artisits" don't have it in them to let go of the money and "fame" that the industry creates for them.

The last thing they want to do is die before they get their retirement investments secured away...

i understand completely what your sayen... but im not gonna not listen to music because of image change.... the 70's 80's and 90's are Gone... and they have been for 7years.. all im sayen is i used to be there in late 80's early 90's my brothers the same age as most of you.. when rap went from NWA (good stuff) to ja rule, and M&m.. i was done with it.. sure i hear a good song here and there i like.. but NWA and tupac are gone... just like acdc and sabith, pantara, and matallica, gone.. i guess i just adjusted better then the rest of you.. theres still some crazy @$$ bands out there that i still love like atryu... wild! but all the rest are the same to me as sublime g-day and for the most part matallica i let the new stufff replace the old stuff.. i moved on with time... you guys sat in the same place waiting the older stuff to come back out!!!
