ANyone know what axal the 1973 mustangs with the 9in rear used? I think theres like a 27 and a 32? Not sure which I need. IM thinking it might be cheaper to get a allready rebuilt rear with 3.70posi and install it myself then to get mine rebuild as it is now with stock 2.75 and open rear.

Thanks,
Jim

If its not a factory CJ, boss 351 or 429 then you got 28 spline axles.

It could be either 28 or 31 spline. Most likely, it's got 28. The only 73s that I've seen with 31 spline factory axles have been 351C 4V w/ four speeds.
