I doubt anyone would install a chip without any tunes. And it probably wasn't wiped. You'll not notice much of a difference in the way the car runs besides that it idles a bit higher when on the tune. At least my car does. The throttle response will be better as well. My chip also eliminated the EGR. The CEL comes on if I switch it to the stock tune.
