I have just recently bought a '95 cobra and it has a few things done to it not much, 3:73 gears, Basani offroad x-pipe, dual 40 series flow's, march pullies, aluminum driveshaft, and MAC cold air intake. I was thinking about switching out the stock 60mm throttle body. Should I go 65mm or 70mm? I'm thinking 70 may be too much I dunno though. Let me know what brand and size you guys think is good. Thanks!!!

Headers would probably give you more significant gains at this point. But if you're dead set on a TB then I'd go with the 70mm if you plan on doing more performance mods such as H/C/I.

Thanks man, yeah I was thinking about headers but I love the way she sounds right now and I don't really wanna risk changing it.

Better gains can be found than a TB. Cobra's can pick up a good gain from an MAF. Pro-M has there 80mm MAFs on sale right now...

I just bought an Edelbrock 70MM from Mustangs Unlimited. It looks so sweet. I went w/ a 70MM b/c Im adding an extensive amount of power to the car.

the stock TB is just fine until the higher numbers... put that money into something else, like a saleen body kit, or a pimpin' stereo system

Thanks for all the input, yeah I may look into a MAF and possibly a 65 or 70mm throttle body when the funds allow. And sounds like BBK or Edlebrock are my best bet. Will let ya know when I decide on what to get!!

Spend the money a meter before you spend it on a tb. The stock 60mm tb is good for 375hp (I even went 11.80s with a stock 60mm tb). You can't beat the throttle response of the 60mm.

no problem with the 70MM, i have the BBK 70mm, it looks great and it makes an awesome sound, sucking in that air, sounds supercharged, fooled some people, but no one that actually knows anything, but it definetly doesnt HURT performance

I'm surprised this point hadn't been brought up before now. A 70mm might give you a couple more HP on the top end IF you have the mods that would require it (aka supercharger or stroked H/C/I) but for 95% of the people on this forum, a 65mm is just fine and will provide better throttle response.

I'm supercharged running the stock 60mm throttle body. It will do fine until you go beyond 400 RWHP. Until then, use your money on buying the 80mm Pro-M unit now that it's dirt cheap.

Don't waste your money on the throttle body until you upgrade the heads or cam. If I were you I'd get the 80mm Pro M mass air meter or some shorty headers. You will see more gain from these mods IMHO.
