what to do about valve body?

I just installed a new TCI valve body and when i was ending the installation i find out that my transmission pan is too shallow for the bulging oil screen that the new valve body has. So i dont know what to do because i do not have a lot of money to spend on a new pan. Is there anywhere that I can get a deep pan for around $40 or less. or could i mabey put the old oil screen on my new valve body?

If it's a C4 then there are a bunch on eBay around $30 shipped. I picked one up a couple months ago whn I installed a shift kit.
