Last night while browsing an online ad I came across a 85 GT T-Top for a couple hundred bucks. Typical story, wife got pregnant and toys need to go fast. And of course I couldn't let a sweet deal pass me by... let alone on a t-top. To say the least it's not without it's problems. But it's all there, fairly clean, and staight. I also have a 89 LX 5.0 that got into a fender bender in the front pssg fender. I have all the parts for replacing just haven't put it on yet. Both are considered project cars. AND YES I KNOW I'll post pics this wkend. That being said my dilemma is ???
1) Swap 85 front clip to my 89 LX (benifiting from electronics & already installed mods), and THEN swap 89 LX (spare replacement parts) front clip/int/qtr windows/etc onto the 85 t-top. Thus having a 88 clone T-Top and updated nasty '85 5.0!
OR!!!!
2) Don't be a jerk! Keep the 85 GT T-Top unmolested, unhacked, restore it/value retention, wkend cruises, and so others can admire. And continue beating up my '89.
