It's my birthday, and my wife says that her present to me is to let me buy an off-road x pipe for my 04 that I've been wanting since I got the car. It's got flowmasters and stock midpipe on it now, it has an excellent tone but its just too quite for me.

But this morning I started thinking that I could get a cam/lifter kit for my 68 also for about the same price. I would love to have a nice cam in the windsor and pick up some more power. I've been wanting to stick one in for years now.

What should I do? I know you're probably biased toward the classic.

Explain to her the difference....

Between wants and needs.

You want an x-pipe....

But you need more power....

Might not go over too well, but sometimes it works. LMAO

Which do you drive more? Which will give you more satisfaction? If it sounds great, I am leaning X-pipe as I am guessing you will use the newer car more.

Remember, if you get a decent cam and lifters, you also should be looking at valve springs and screw-in studs.
