hey guys i am looking to convert my aod to a manual and i was wondering if you would look at my mods and give me a torque estimate and stuff and tell me if a stock t-5 could hold my power. i dont want to spend money on a crappy tranny when i could be saving for a nicer one. so would someone look at my mods and give me the answer also i have more mods and stuff listed here if you really want to help

underdriven pullies with an s-trim?

heads?
intake ported?
cam?

maybe some more about the fuel system?

A stock T5 willl hold the power but I don't know for how long. I would say a tremec 3550 would be a good choice. I decided to go with the tremec TKO when I did my AOD 5 speed swap because I was planning on adding a lot more power which the TKO would be better suited for.

only pullies he could be runing is the water pump and alt as to why youd want to run those still I have no idea. W/ a vortech car you need all the cooling you can get. And w/ extra fuel pumps on board all the charging you can get as well.


Id guess your makin 400 + rwhp range thats a big guess. You should get it dynoed to see yor A/F ratio. If a manual is in your cards look at Tremec or the new G Force tranny.

i dont have aftermarket heads, my intake isnt ported and i have a stock cam so i dont know. yeah i dont know what tranny would be best and what do you think i should do.many people have said manuals are faster
but i think i still want to go through with it so if i were to do it myself i would want to know how easy the conversion is and how long would i be saving cause i make minimum wage
